BillCrunch does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. This is not a policy commitment that could later change. It is a structural fact about how the application is built.
1. Who we are
BillCrunch is a mobile application for Android (iOS in development) that helps you track recurring bills and subscriptions privately, without an account or internet connection.

2. What data we collect
None. BillCrunch does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifier.
- We do not collect your financial data, bill amounts, or subscription names.
- We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics events.
- We do not use cookies, pixels, or tracking technologies of any kind.
- We do not collect crash reports or error logs from your device.
- We do not use third-party analytics SDKs or advertising SDKs.
3. Where your data lives
All data you enter into BillCrunch is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. This database is:
- Only accessible by the BillCrunch application on your device.
- Never transmitted to any external server.
- Not backed up to any cloud service by BillCrunch (your device's own backup system may include app data depending on your settings, which is outside our control).
4. Internet access
BillCrunch does not make any network requests. The application works entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for any feature. The application does not have permission to access the internet in its production configuration.
5. Permissions
BillCrunch may request the following device permissions:
- Notifications: To deliver local payment reminders. These are generated on-device and are not sent through or logged by any external service.
- Storage / file access: Only when you explicitly use the backup or CSV export feature. Files are written to a location you choose on your device.
No other permissions are requested. The application does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or any other sensitive capability.
6. Backup and export
BillCrunch provides a JSON backup feature and a CSV export feature. These features write files to a location you specify on your device. The resulting files contain your bill data. You are responsible for the security and handling of those files once they leave the application. We have no access to them.
To restore data from a backup, you import the file back into the application. The backup file never passes through our servers.
7. Children
BillCrunch does not knowingly interact with children under 13. Because we collect no data from any user, there is no specific risk associated with younger users interacting with the app. The app contains no age-gated content.
8. Changes to this policy
If we ever make a material change to how BillCrunch handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Because BillCrunch currently collects no data, any future change that introduces data collection would represent a significant departure from our current approach and would be communicated prominently.
9. Your rights
Because BillCrunch holds no data about you on any server, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your data is on your device. You can delete it at any time using the Factory Reset option within the application, or by uninstalling the app.
